• Email address: Provided when you run a breach check or complete a purchase. Used to look up breach data, create your account, and send sign-in links.

Information from third parties

• Breach data: Retrieved from trusted, publicly available data breach databases based on the email address you provide. This includes breach names, dates, and categories of exposed data (e.g., email addresses, passwords, phone numbers).
• Payment information: Collected and processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full card details on our servers. Stripe provides us with your email, payment status, and customer ID for order fulfillment.

• Session data: We use a secure, encrypted JWT (JSON Web Token) stored in a cookie to maintain your sign-in session. This cookie is essential for the Service to function and is not used for tracking or advertising.

• Free breach checks: Email addresses submitted for the free preview are not stored after the request is processed.
• Paid accounts: Your email, breach snapshot, risk assessment, and action checklist data are retained for as long as your account is active.
• After cancellation: Your data is retained for a reasonable period to allow reactivation, after which it is deleted.

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication tokens, and access controls on our database. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
